Uche has 15 years’ experience in legal practice. Uche is the General Counsel and Company Secretary of FHN, with additional responsibility for the Company’s commercial, supply chain, and compliance functions.

Following a stint in academia in the United States, Uche worked at leading law firms in the United States and the United Kingdom, most latterly with the London office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP where he garnered significant experience in corporate law, advising private equity funds and other institutional clients on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and leveraged buyout transactions in multiple jurisdictions and across sectors.

Uche is a Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Howard University in Washington DC, and holds a Masters and Juris Doctor degrees from Harvard University, where he was an editor of the International Law Journal, and a recipient of the Harvard-Nigerian Fellowship for Distinguished African Scholars. Uche serves as Trustee/Director of EdVigor Inc., a US-based charity dedicated to the training of primary school teachers in Sub-Saharan Africa.
