Segun has over 30 years’ experience in management consulting, private equity, and energy investing. He is the Chief Executive Officer of Vertex Energy, an Africa-focused independent energy company. Prior to becoming the CEO of Vertex Energy, he worked with African Capital Alliance and Accenture where his last role was Head of Oil, Gas, & Utilities for Nigeria.

Segun serves on the Boards of Odua Investment Company Limited and three Non-Governmental Organisations – The Apostles in the Marketplace Network, The Scripture Grace Foundation, and The Three Sixty Degree Foundation.

Segun holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Lagos, Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Society of Engineers. He is also a fellow of the African Leadership Initiative West Africa.
