Omagbemi Kakayor

Chief Operating Officer

Omagbemi has 28 years’ varied experience in the Oil & Gas sector. He has expertise in leading New Oil delivery efforts, in Field appraisal & development Planning, maturation of the Appraisal and Exploration fields to development opportunities, Business Planning and Budgets, project leadership for Front End studies, and in leading multidisciplinary Technical Reviews for oil and gas development projects.

Prior to joining FHN, Omagbemi worked in Royal Dutch Shell in a variety of technical, operational, and governance roles. He participated and led multidisciplinary teams for the maturation of several Field Development Plans (FDP) and Feasibility Studies fields across several oil and Gas fields. As a technical authority (for Shell Africa region) in production geology and a Subject Matter Expert in static modelling & sedimentology, Omagbemi led and conducted technical Assurances & Reviews for Corporate Reserves Booking, Asset WRFM, FDP and Well readiness sessions for key assets in onshore and Offshore assets Shell Nigeria. During his stint in the Shell Technical Centre in Rijswijk, the Netherlands, Omagbemi worked on Top global projects for the Shell group. He was also a key resource person in designing learning modules and lecturing in the Shell Development & Learning Centre, Rijswijk, the Netherlands.

Omagbemi holds a M.Phil. degree in Petroleum Geology from University of Aberdeen, Scotland, an M.Sc. and B.Sc. in Geology from the University of Benin, Nigeria.
