Aboh is an undeveloped field that was discovered with the Aboh -1 exploration well in 1961. The field has proved hydrocarbons intervals in a simple roll over type structural setting.

Aboh has estimated gross 2C resources of 8 mmbbls oil, 10 mmbbls of condensates and 308 bcf of gas, equivalent to approximately 70 mmboe. The joint venture is evaluating possibilities to produce the 10 mmbbls of liquids and at the same time seeking a longer term gas commercialisation solution.

Outlook

An appraisal programme is being defined to better understand hydrocarbon type and distribution in the field, with the ultimate objective of working up a suitable field development program (FDP). With existing production processing and export infrastructure on the block the opportunity exists to rapidly and cost effectively monetise any future incremental development projects or discoveries.
